Why I started The Cardoza.

A small studio for the people doing the brave thing — starting.

June 30, 2026 · A note from Alex

If you've ever tried to start something of your own, you know the feeling: equal parts excitement and "what did I get myself into." You can picture what you want to build. You just don't always have the tools, the time, or the people to help you make it look the way it feels in your head.

That's the gap I built The Cardoza to fill.

The Cardoza is a creative agency for small-business owners and creatives across Dallas–Fort Worth — people just getting started, or ready to refresh what they've outgrown. We help with the things that make a business feel real and credible: a logo that actually looks like you, a custom website and domain that are truly your own, and room to grow into more as you go.

But the honest reason I started this is simpler than the service list. I've seen how hard it is to start a business — and how much harder it is when your work is the product. Creatives pour everything into their craft, then hit a wall the moment it's time to package it: the brand, the site, the "how do I even look professional" part. Too many stop there — not because the work isn't good, but because the path felt lonely and out of reach.

I don't think it should be. The people brave enough to bet on themselves deserve someone in their corner who genuinely wants them to win.

That part is personal for me. Helping people is the piece of this work I care about most. DFW is full of talented founders, artists, and small businesses building something meaningful with very little support — and when one of us grows, we all do. So The Cardoza isn't only here to take on projects; it's here to help strengthen a diverse creative community I love, one brand and one business at a time.

My promise: no jargon, no wall of prices, no agency runaround. Just clear, founder-to-founder work that meets you where you are — whether you're sketching a first idea or finally giving your business the look it's earned.

If that's you, I'd love to hear what you're building. Come say hello — there's no wrong place to start.
